Actually, the 5.5 tonne truck should drive on the middle lane and not the fast lane! If in Australia he may subject to fine heavily if accident happened just like this one! Because, the modern heavy vehicles (including 5.5 tonnes light truck but excluding the 2 tonnes van) are powerful and fast but still difficult to stop effectively to a distance at high speed which will become the death trap to other smaller vehicles!
