First, there is NO OFFICIAL speed limit on airsoft gun. Limits are only enforced at local field or during an events. Most common requirement is 400fps for rifle and 350fps for CQB. Both using .20g

Third, Real gun laws in CA. For assult rifle, you can NOT have remove-able magazine. which means you have to have your AR mag secure most of the time and you are limit to 10 rounds in the mag. Of course there are ways to get-around this limitation by using bullet button release.
