ah right
well for that, any tough-enough nettings will do the job
examples are volleyball net, fish net, etc.
if you're not going hard on it,
use a big piece of holed scarf

btw
about the words you've mentioned
it leaded me to pictures of cannon with nettings on top, seriously
they;re very similar to those used to make ghillie suits
they both got extra materials on as disguises
and the CANNON NET also does gr8 camouflage to the cannon

and about the bird catching gadget...
