i think toyota has proven to be as reliable if not more..
put aside the price of the car, maintenance, car consumption, etc. cost more for BMW than toyota.
i honestly do not see the justification for BMW if there is a cheaper substitute.
again. it's HK gov't. its not like they really care what you think.

sorry mate, i honestly dont see how this is not a black box operation
first of all the bidding process was behind closed doors. they are indeed inviting car manufacturers for a competitions
however all decisions are made internally and report regarding those process are not made public.
in my memory the budget was not applied for from legco sepaprately but as a totality in an annual budget
i am a taxpaying citizen who's enjoying hong kong's extremely safe environment thanks to the professionalism of HKP
i'm not saying they are doing a poor job. i'm saying I have the right to information and freedom of information should be thoroughly implemented. these type of informations are nowhere near confidential.
me and my family paid literally millions of dollars for tax last year and we have the right to know where did the money go other than the secretary of finance's great plan of just giving everyone 6 grand.

on a final note, its most welcomed if anyone's inviting a logical discussion based on sound arguments
but if anyone just dismisses and repudiate others comment with a sense of superiority, i'll simply pass on. period.
