OK...now I understand what you mean.....You must be talking about some young 水雷炮 come to the UK and join in the Military Provost Guard Service (MPGS). They are a part of the British Army, mainly are Ex Serviceman using their past military skills re-enlist to the Armed Forces again but only carry out guard duties.

This is not only for Ex HKMSC but for all arms ex serviceman in the UK. I do not really know much about this because I feel that after more then 22 years in the Army including the TA I would like to further my career in other area. However, there are few young men from the EX HKMSC do working in there and as far as I understand they are really happy with their new career.
They are same pay as the local and including Married Housing.
The highest rank they achieved at the moment is Staff Sergeant but I am sure that they would obtain much higher rank on the later day.
