not just the hop-up actually. you could first do the air-tight of hop-up.

if you found it still unstable, it might not be solved because there is no guarantee-linear-movement of the piston.
you would find there is no guide for the piston  thus the air-tight of the piston-head is weak thus make the power unstable.
