In 2014, Detonics consolidated a century of research and introduced the (STX) handgun. The key features of the STX include:
A modular tactical frame, designed to accept 4 barrel/slide lengths, as well as a full size or compact grip.
An engineered frame and grip specifically designed to enhance precision and reduce recoil, which also complies to U.S. Army anthropometric grip geometries.
An engineered low-profile bore axis designed to reduce muzzle rise.
A proprietary grip engineered to fit small and large hands equally.
A modular firing control kit that is replaceable at the armorer level.
A modular, striker fired trigger that also maintains the short length of pull and crispness commonly found on a single action trigger system.
When released, the full size STX (along with the full size MTX) will be priced under $1000 for a stock model. Technical specifications are below:
