the suppressor works fine, he's probably not using subsonic ammo
the bullet travelling faster than the 1000fps will break the sound barrier and will sound like a .22LR round going off
the suppressor conseals the shooter's position, but the fast bullet breaking the sound barrier will still attract a certain amount of attention

good suppressor+subsonic ammo+ good firing platform(gun) = a quiet shot being fired

not with normal parts... you're supposed to switch the recoil spring or manually cycle rounds
