it's legal in lots of states here. (US)
as long as you have a clean record and a bit more money you can get one. they're real nice for target practice. i'd been shooting a suppressed .22 rifle for the longest time, never had the chance to step up to the .45 suppressed though.
it is just weird, because when you use subsonic ammo, you can hear the bullet hitting the target paper (or squirrel...)
oh and by the way, if you're shooting .45 w/ a suppressor on you don't need subsonic ammo, .45ACP travels at a subsonic speed
