問題:
A green turret fires at an enemy. It then looks for all green turrets in range and adds their damage, each of these repeat.
The "turrets in range" check is ONLY done when a turret is placed or upgraded (there might be some recursion here since upgrading one seems to effect ones near it).
Further, the linking is determined by the range of the turret closest to the firing turret, NOT the other way around as is common sense.
Therefore...
If you want a turret to link to the one immediately next to it instead of one further away drop the range of the firing turret by 60% (2 damage exchangers), upgrade it, delete the exchangers.

make a line of laser turrets
build 2 damage exchangers next to the first one:
G-G-G-G-G-G-G
D-D
upgrade the first 3 laser turrets.
voila, the chain starts to work. Now expand.
MAKE SURE YOU DON'T UPGRADE THE LASERS AFTER YOU SELL THE DAMAGE EXCHANGERS!!!
