I was reading the information of british army's formation and structure,
there is something that i don't understand,
In RE, there is 23 Engineer Regiment,9 Parachute Squadron RE,
so, are they RE or Parachut regiment ??
Also like 24 Commando Regiment Royal Engineers,
are they RE or RM ??
Soldiers from 23 Engineer Regiment,9 Parachute Squadron RE,
What colour of beret do they wear ??
Do they wear para wings or RE shoulder title on their right arm ??
C hing,please help me!!

英軍的情況會是工程兵會借調給傘兵稱為(砲兵, 通訊, 醫療都會).
咁樣就會出現戴紅貝雷配所屬部隊章.

I've read this website before,
I get confuse that it said 23 RE is part of 16 Air Assault Brigade,
But 23 RE is located in the RE's page in Wiki......

RE is RE....
U must know the Structural of British Army 1st..

16AAB is a Brigade, not equal the para regiment!!
There are a lot of different attachment of the 16AAB like Medic, RMP, RE, AAC, RHA........etc.......

For Para regiment, there are only 4 Battalions(1 to 4 para) and the pathfinder only

我見過一些相片中的一些戴傘兵紅色貝雷帽的配通訊, 炮兵部隊帽章的.
但亦有一些例子如當年香港車隊借調過660中隊戴淺藍色貝雷帽配陸航部隊帽章.
至於點解就唔知.

帶Maroon Beret唔代表佢地係Para喎
依我理解, 佢地的確係RE, 不過Attach落Para到做野(Signal等等如是), 所以帶Maroon Beret, 但同樣地Cap Badge都係RE
正如USMC嘅Corpsman(醫務兵)係由US Navy黎, 但佢地就著MARPAT同USMC Service Dress, 同時佢地係帶嘅係USN嘅Cap Badge/Collar Badge/Rank/US Navy Tape

The maroon beret means that they have completed the para training course (P-company and parachute training) but the still belong to RE (a branch of Service).  The one wear the Parachute Regiment cap badge are members of the Parachute Regiment.  RE, Signal, RAOC etc are NOT regiments they are corps.

In the british army there are two type of soldiers, one is we call teeth arm, such as parachute regiment, guards, armour etc.  the other are call service arm such as RAMC, signal, RE etc.,
