You can't count FFL cost and tax into a firearm as the merchant doesn't take advantage of it.

Try finding a cheaper one then.

既然成本要 $70 FFL + 稅，不如俾多少少買支 M38 或 M44，Type 53 你預咗要再花一少筆錢 refinish 個 stock，重有唔少精神時間。係咪去 BUDS GUN 買? 係的話，就同我一樣，啲 cosmoline 多到任何角落都有，連個 stock 都要用熱水浸先洗得乾淨，因佢個 stock 唔係 walnut/birch/beech，而且花斑斑，點抹都唔會乾淨。

Then go to ClassicFirearms. They have M44 and I think you don't have to pay tax buying from them. Their shipping is cheap too.

For the FFL cost, I'm sorry you live in Kalifornia. It's a pitty to me too 'cos I live in NewYorkistan. Hate these communist states.
