i disagree. glocks have like 4 moving parts on the slide, brush the barrel and you should be good to go. now will it jam? that's another story. but i'm sure it would fire.

i've seen guns in worse condition that still fire, and it's a Glock, they were built to be thrown around.

um.. dude, i've seen mosin nagants in much worse conditions that still fire.
i've seen those mosin nagants with their barrels so corroded, you can't even SEE any rifling, and it still fires. is it safe? no, but will it shoot? HELL YEAH it wil

now, those mosins were firing full sized rifle cartraige, which contains 40-60more grains of gunpowder than a pistol cartraige. it has a barrel that looks like my drain pipe. the glock has polygonal rifling, which makes it easier to brush the barrel down, it's got much better steel and a polymer frame, minimal moving parts and it's proven with tests they do in austria. it passed the JSSAP test for 10,000(20,000?) rounds without cracking the slide and still functioning.

tell me it won't shoot. tell me it won't work. it might jam, but it will shoot

i may hate Glocks, but i respect them because they're so rediculously reliable.

to further prove my point, i'll post two photos of a 1911 that this guy had.
it's a US Property marked milspec 1911, date of manufacture and serial number are already indistinguishable. how do you think rust was like on this pistol? well, this is what the owner, John told me:

"Here are the photos of the US&S with all the pitting.. It shoots just
fine!!!!!!!!!

John"

true, it's not a Glock, but it's also a near 100 year old design on a pistol. Glocks are supposed to have excellent corrosion resistance, and they pride themselves for making firearms like that.

have you ever field stripped a Glock?
then have you ever detail stripped a Glock?

those things are so simple it's rediculous. there's like 3 moving parts in the slide...
those guys throw them into sand water and let it sit for days then pull them out just to test fire them and they still don't jam.

it passed the JSSAP tests with flying colours man

i would trust a Glock anyday, but i still hate them every single day.

Sig's are much more user friendly and safe, that's why i have a Sig P225(single stack9mm).
M1911's are much more elegant and much much much more accurate, that why i have a 1911a1.

i don't think Glocks are pieces of crap, but i certainly don't prefer them.
