Improved First Aid Kit (some NSNs in this image are incorrect)

For many years the first aid kit carried by individual soldiers was the Carlisle Dressing or Battle Dressing, little more than a bandage with which to attempt to stop bleeding. In 2005 the U.S. Army standardized the Improved First Aid Kit (IFAK), which, in conjunction with proper training, will greatly increase force effectiveness by increasing the potential of survival for combat casualties. Specifically, the kit provides enhanced capabilities for Self-Aid/Buddy-Aid to immediately treat the two most urgent medical crises faced by battlefield casualties:
  • Exsanguinations (bleeding) from an extremity wound
  • Airway occlusion
The Improved First Aid Kit began reaching soldiers in the firld in late 2005 and early 2006.
Components of the Improved First Aid KitThe IFAK is a self-contained assembly in a Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment (MOLLE) utility pouch. The full kit is NSN 6545-01-530-0929 and its components are:

Hi brother, it's good to know that some wargame player do care about the first-aid during wargame time . If you already received the first-aid training, just equip the gears you're trained to use, otherwise, it would be a good idea if you could consider to take some first-aid training course organised by St Johin, Red Cross, or AMS. Their basic first-aid skill is more than enough to handle non-fatal or minor wounding during wargame. For special police(eg SDU, VIPPU, ASDU), they are all well-trained to paramedic officer level, which mean they could even handle gun-wounding in gun-fight case, like using IV drip or IV injection for cardiac problem to stable the vital condition before the serious gun wound patient could be evacuated to hospital.
YOU DON'T NEED DRUGS TO HAVE FUN!! (興 奮 勿 亂 性
濫 藥 會 致 命)
