Why aluminium better orginial buffer?

I guess, same theory as hang gun with plastic slide
lighter material = less energy need to move the bolt = faster bolt movement

people who like a harder "recoil" will choose a heavier buffer or put weights into the buffer. However soft metal such as lead will deform in the buffer easier. That's why some manufacturer choose to use polythene-based material
