I just got Tanaka M870 and compare with Maruzen M870 and Realsteel.

I can say, Tanaka M870 is more realistic, The FCG design is same as Realsteel just the hammer is bigger but the Shell ejection system is totally different with realsteel.

Detail as follow:
1. The Marking is not same with Realsteel both on receiver and barrel I will take some pics.
2. The thread of the magazine tube is metric, so it cant to fit realsteel magazine extension.
3. The trigger pin location is same as realsteel, so can be install NEW KAC M870 RAS.
4. Tanaka M870 Bolt can move like realsteel, but Maruzen M870 just a  plate.

I will take some pics of Tanaka M870 in disassembly state..

PS: The shells is on stock for 250HKD for 5 shell. I just brought in DEN.

How about the hand guard?
can it replace with real or surefire ?

You can find that these trigger group is very similar, The dimension is same and the trigger pins location and the size also, But Tanaka Tigger pin (Small one) is not like realsteel is pass thru the receiver. For the Maruzen, Trigger location is not same as realsteel even Tanaka, So it cant install New KAC RAS

For the Barrel marking:
First 2 pics are realsteel, other is Tanaka

For the Slide tube of the forearm of the Tanaka is slightly bigger(2mm) than realsteel slide tube, So if you want to install realsteel forearm it need to do some modification.

As I remember different era or type of 870 have different markings on the barrel.

Usually, Shotgun barrel is divide by few type , 1: Shell type 2-3/4" or 3", 2: Slug barrel or Normal barrel, 3. Rib or non-Rib, 4. Rifled or Smooth barrel.

For now, Remington shotgun also have few line for different purposes, Wingsmaster(Wooden stock and forearm), Express(PA 6/6 GF filled stock and forearm Usually Home defense), Youth, and Marine(treated with heavy duty anti-corrosive surface finishing)

U had missed the Super Magnum 2 3/4-inch or 3 1/2-inch.

U did a good job on comparing both guns!  []  Is it worth the price, and how are the shells??

BTW: U live in HK?

I don't like Tanaka 870's 14" barrel. Better with 16" barrel.
